Vidal Mouet is a Mexican artist currently living and working in New York City. Mouet primarily works in abstract painting, known for his distinctively sculptural monochromatic canvases. Echoing the gestural forms of objects from his everyday life, Mouet’s works curl, arch, and stretch off of the flat surfaces on which they are mounted, disrupting the traditional picture plane.
