Studies Show is a large-scale LED panel running an AI model loaded with over 5,000 fake studies, each one a deadpan echo of the social media habit of dressing up misinformation as data-backed fact. Cycling every two minutes and entirely randomly generated, the work is statistically unlikely to repeat itself within a human lifetime. The artist calculated it would take roughly 40 years before a duplicate study appears. Monumental in scale, the piece transforms the throwaway internet headline into something closer to public address, lending the visual weight of official information to claims that are completely invented. Funny, unsettling, and relentless, Studies Show captures something true about the way we consume — and believe — what we read.
