KATJA LOHER AT LOR GALLERY "INTERPLANETARY KISSES" BY KATJA LOHER & JOSÉ BEDIA @ LOR GALLERY SEPTEMBER 13, 2014
La Lyle O. Reitzel Gallery Contemporary Art, presents "Interplanetary Kisses" a curatorial experiment of bi-personal exhibition, for the first time in the Dominican Republic, and in premier international search to a dialog 'Cosmic Raices' between him recognized Cuban artist José Bedia and young Swiss artist, specializing in video, Katja Loher.
Bedia and Loher, using plastic means of expression are very different. He works by hand directly with a more primitive form. Loher uses digital and technological resources, however there is one connection between discourses and concepts, sometimes they feed the same sources, who's first clear view of them circular shapes like planets with their designed that will work for this project.
"Interplanetary Kisses" account with the collaboration of the renowned German curator, living in Paris, Jeanette Zwingenrberger Quien claims in their catalog words to him: "the works of both artists question the relationship between humanity and the universe to him, his concept of micro-and macrocosm.
