REGINA SCULLY

b. 1975 Norfolk, VA, USA  Lives and works in New Orleans, LA, USA

New Orleans-based painter, Regina Scully, creates micro-universes that resonate between the familiar and the unknown. Her paintings and works on paper become personalized dreamscapes for the viewer, with enveloping, rhythmic labyrinths to enter and travel through.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Scully received her B.F.A. in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design and her M.F.A. in Painting from University of New Orleans. Scully’s paintings are in private and public collections including the Microsoft Art Collection, (2010, 2013), the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation Collection, the Capital One Art Collection, and the New Orleans Museum of Art (2014, 2016). A catalog of recent paintings and works on paper with an accompanying essay by Dan Cameron was published in summer, 2015.
