REGINA SCULLY IN ULTRA VIE SEATTLE ART FAIR 2015 | OUR FAVORITE WORKS

by Aaron Price

The inaugural edition of the Seattle Art Fair is set to get underway at the end of this week. The fair is brought to you by Art Market Productions, responsible for a number of major art fairs including Art Market San Francisco, and Vulcan Inc. The Seattle Art Fair is a platform designed to showcase the vibrant culture and diversity of the Pacific Northwest. The fair aims to be a destination for new and established collectors alike. The Seattle Art Fair will feature approximately 40 leading local, regional and international galleries. Seattle is known for its commitment to the arts through support of cultural organisations and institutions. We’ve taken the time to select some of our favourite works on show at the fair.

Regina Scully – Passage, 2011

The artist attempts to paint from an open universal point of view. This is so that the viewer is able to explore her painting and find familiarity. Her new works are the result of an intuitive creative journey. She views each blank canvas as an unexplored terrain for her imagination. Her paintings and work on paper incorporate intuitive mark making in thick bold gestures along with extremely delicate lines that are layered with rich and subtle colour. Octavia Art Gallery represent the artist at Seattle Art Fair.
